My Clara No More (Wilted Flowers, ptIV)
by: Jonathan Marsolais
So how come I was wrong?
Was it something we never did,
Or that you never really loved me?
Makes sense, you see...
For you never really talked, to me
While we were together
Preferring to be all over me
While I sat there, speechless
Why was I so blind?
I fought so hard for us, to no avail
Because in the end, it never would of worked
Would it now?
For though we shared a bed at times
And that we whispered those sweet words
You knew it didn't mean a thing when you said
For you never planned to stay, didn't you?
Shouldn't I have seen this earlier?
Everyone kept telling me so
But I ignored them
Only to discover they were right
I was a fool to fall for you
I thought it was different
Than what it was
I wish it weren't so
But you are my Clara no more

The fourth piece to the Wilted Flowers series. Tragically saddening, but it may not be it's end. I don't know yet
