Dark Angel

Like the shadows, so endlessly dark
I am a part of you
Like the night sky that graces us
I am one with it
Dark Angel, here I am
A poor human latched on to the night
Wishing himself to become like you
Dark Angel, creature of the night
I am a shadow, I am unseen
Why become me?
I am a horror, I am a monster
A denizen of the shadows
Dark Angel, you wish not to be
Foolish human, blinded by light
Don't wish yourself to be me
A horrid monster, the Dark Angel is
Creature so unforgiving, so unpitying
I ride the night sky on black wings
Made of the night, forever eternal
Hiding when the sun rises
I wish to be you, Dark Angel
For I have no ties to this world
And wish to live loneliness in the shadows

Where I belong
The beauty of having a dark side. It tempts you. You want to join it, become one with the monster within. To let the world really know what you are capable of. Yet, I sometimes cower away from the thought, for how much of me would remain if I let it consume me?
